COMBINED SCOPE

Services can work together

The service combination is defined by the operation itself: which tasks are connected, what information is needed and who is responsible for approvals.

Agency + documentation

Useful when vessel-side communication and vessel documents form one working assignment.

Forwarding + documentation

Useful when the cargo side and cargo documents need to be handled in one context.

Combined scope

Agency, forwarding, documents and coordination can be brought together if the operation requires it.

PROCESS

What defines the service scope

The scope is defined by the actual operation rather than a fixed package.

01

Vessel

Vessel name, planned port call, ETA/ETD and current status.

02

Cargo

Cargo type, indicative volume, operation format and available source data.

03

Port and timing

The specific port, planned dates and conditions that affect the working setup.

04

Client role

The required tasks and responsibility boundaries depend on the party’s role in the operation.

FAQ

Questions about service scope

Do I need to choose one service before contacting DLS?

No. If the exact scope is not yet clear, describe the operation and indicate what is already known.

Can the scope change after the first enquiry?

Yes, if new information about the vessel, cargo, dates or responsibilities changes the assignment. Changes should be agreed before they are treated as part of the work.

Are official port functions included in DLS services?

No. DLS coordinates and performs its agreed tasks; the functions of port operators and authorities remain with the respective organisations.

Can documentation be ordered separately?

Yes, when the required documents and responsibilities can be clearly defined for the specific operation.

Describe the operation and DLS will clarify the required scope

Basic parameters are enough for the first contact.
